- After choosing an appropriate nasal splint, clean the child's
nostril first, then spread a thin layer of Vaseline on the nasal
splint to minimize the friction
induced before insertion.
- For the infant, rubber band wearing is recommended in preventing
accidental swallowing and loosening. The air permeable plaster
could be used by others.
- Size 1 to 12 of the nasal splint is available in suiting the
child from birth to fully developed.
- For the infant, the nasal splint can be used at day time only
under the supervision of their parent at the beginning. After
adaptation to the splint, the baby can wear the splint for all
day long provided that there is no obstruction to the breathing.
It is recommended that the splint should be worn as long as possible.
- If it is inconvenience for the teenager or adult to wear the
splint at the day time, the splint should be worn during sleep.
- Depending on different users, the process should be evaluated
after wearing for 6month / 1 year.
- Stop using the nasal splint when catching a cold or having a
wound in the nostril.
- Clean with warm water and mild soap by cotton everyday.
- The nasal splint could also be sterilized by disinfectant or
boiling water without any damage or deformation.
- Don't share your nasal splint with others for hygienic reasons.
- Parents should study the instructions and safety precautions
of the nasal splint before insertion.
- Pay attention not to let your child swallow the nasal splint
and keep it in a safe place when it is not in use.
